SURF LESSONS
LESSON PACKAGES
The Caparica Gecko Surf School is located near Lisbon and was founded in 2016. Our team is made up of quality and enthusiastic surf instructors. They are certified by the FPS (Portuguese Surfing Federation) and have extensive experience in the aquatic environment. For two hours, we teach the essence of surfing. The two main techniques that all surfers need to know: how to paddle and catch waves and how to stand up on the board. This is the beginning of surfing and a lifestyle!
What to expect from our classes:
Safety briefing
Warm-up
Instruction on the beach on how to paddle and stand up on the board (stand-up)
Practice in the water according to the instructions given on the beach
Feedback in the water with the instructor
What you need to bring:
Swimming kit (don’t forget your towel!)
Sunscreen
Seasonal clothing
What we provide:
Surfboards – suitable for your experience
Wetsuit – suitable for the conditions (don’t forget that the zipper is on the back)
Accident insurance
Where we are:
The meeting point is near Lisbon on the Costa da Caparica
Group sizes:
We accept groups of up to 20 people, however, when practicing in the water, we insist on the ratio recommended by the FPS (Portuguese Surfing Federation) of 1:5 (1 instructor for 5 students). If you have any questions or are interested in finding out more, don’t hesitate to contact us!
